About

qubit-lab.ch helps banks and other financial institutions understand where quantum computing matters, where it does not yet, and how to build practical capability in a structured way. Our principle is "Evidence, not promises": every quantum claim we make is benchmarked against an exact classical referee, and published.

RAPID QUANTUM PROTOTYPING (RQP)
Seven integrated, ready-to-use prototypes cover core finance use cases: portfolio optimization, index replication, feature selection, classification with quantum machine learning (fraud detection, credit scoring), Monte Carlo pricing, credit allocation, and collateral allocation. The principle is "workbook in, certified report out": a client loads its own data through an Excel workbook, the quantum algorithm runs, an exact classical referee scores the result, and a verdict-first report states plainly whether an advantage was demonstrated or not. Certified runs take hours; a full use case takes a few weeks. Test before you invest.

Every run can be exported as code: notebooks for Qiskit, PennyLane, Google Cirq, NVIDIA CUDA-Q and Classiq Qmod, plus OpenQASM 2.0 circuits. Results stay reproducible in the client's own environment, on the framework of its choice.

PUBLISHED EVIDENCE
Six studies are published at qubit-lab.ch/evidence, produced with the same RQP suite that clients use. They cover QAOA behaviour on portfolio problems, the effect of noise including a run on IBM quantum hardware, and the configuration space of quantum kernels and variational classifiers. Study designs are fixed before the first run, every published number is reproduced from the raw results by a script, and results where no advantage was demonstrated are published as well.

LEAN QUANTUM EXPLORATION PROCESS 1. Quantum Awareness Briefing for leadership, risk and technology teams.

2. Quantum Capability Kickstart: five hands-on half-day sessions that take a team from the basics to running finance use cases in code.

3. RQP Exploration on the institution's own data.

4. Continuous Benchmarking to stay current on the evidence as hardware and algorithms improve.

Advisory completes the offering: build versus buy, vendor shortlists and post-quantum cryptography readiness.

ABOUT

qubit-lab.ch is based in Zurich and was founded by Daniel Hug (MSc Physics ETH Zurich, MBA, PMP), who held senior roles at UBS, Credit Suisse and SIX before turning to quantum computing for finance.
